I have a usb camera attached to my raspi pi.

I can capture an image with
  fswebcam -r 640x480 i1.img

and display it wit
  l
inks2 -g i1.jpg

When I start the mrl OpenCV service I haven't been able to get an image. But there are quite some settings available - what settings should work for me then?

Hey juerg... In this moment myrobotlab doesn t support opencv on armv7 (raspi2)... I m working on the armv6(raspi1) here..Almost got it working... We need to compile it on the specific board...but since I Don t have a raspi 2 would help if you want to share your board with me so that I can work remotely on your raspi to build opencv on it... Let me know if you want me to work on it... This way we can contribute to make it worky on all the raspi 2 on the planet :)

Ale

Hi Alessandro

Hope you did get enough money together to replace your stolen Mac?

What about I donate you 35 USD and you order a raspi 2 for yourself and share the results?

hey Juerg...unfortunately not yet . but it's already a big help !..

About the raspi, thanks but it's not necessary :) you can just let the raspi 2 connected , with the port open in your router  and i can work on it ! :)

Hi Ale

connection is an option, however you will need to tell me what exactly I have to do and publishing all my address information does not seem a very good idea to me...

maybe you emall me directly on juerg.maier@pobox.ch and tell me whats needed?

Thanks to 2 longer remote sessions from Ale on my raspi 2 he was able to build an armv7 version of the opencv.

He then showed me also some of the features of opencv to get higher fps. I was first a bit lost with the many options. So we ended with about 20 fps and a working face-tracking!

We should make a plan to get the artifacts into the repo so it is 1 click worky :)

We'll identify the ras pi 2 as  "armv7"  in the ivy files.
