That was wonderful..  I watched the whole thing, you have a gift for presentation !  
It made me want to learn Italian ;)

Great step by step presentation.  Unfortunately, you ran into the RXTXComm issue of a flakey serial device - Way to power through it !

I'll change the post type to a "Tutorial - and add it as a link from the tutorial page"..
