Getting started with myrobotlab - Having problems? Ask the nice people here.

I'm trying to lean the framework for this wonderful robot lab, and I'm stuck trying to read the pins from an Arduino. How do I access and read the Arduino pins in my program:

I just downloaded MyRobotLab to my Mac which is running Mountain Lion and I can't seem to get it running.  The GUI opens and I have Welcome, MRL6890, gui, and python tabs.  When I try to install or upgrade OpenCV, I get a bunch of errors to the log:

So when you checkout the myrobotlab collection,

-is there any way that I can damage myrobotlab collection?

-am I editing the live collection?

-if I am successfull in creating a new service/module etc, how to share it to the community?

-be gentle, new at this...

GroG,

I'm new to Robotlab but not to electronics or programming.  I've read all the forum entries and it appears as tho your the one to answer my question.

The project I'm developing is a pick and place machine for smt parts using a robot arm rather than an x-y-x table.  I realize that the accuracy isn't as good as a table buit I think I have a solution.

The arm I'm using is a Lynxmotion with tweezers for a gripper and 1 or 2 cameras for final positioning.

Hello, please, can you explain how to use the roomba sensor in the jython for read the sensor values of a roomba 500?

roomba.sensor() doesnt work.

Thanks a lot.

Fabrice.

Hi,

saw MRL was used to build a chess robot. I'm interested in using it to do something a little more modest and could do with some help getting started.

My project:

Arduino powered wooden chessboard: User vs board:

User moves detected by magentic reed switches, Arduino prog can send as simple nptation ; eg: e2e4

Computer moves received as similar text type messages and shown by flashing LED on square

Plus either txt to speech or simple LCD to display errors, messages etc

Connected to Rasperry PI running chess engine:

I downloaded myrobotlab 14.9 and ran the bat file. The application worked fine but when I am trying to install/download services like arduino there are some errors like: need to reinstall processing. I'm just wondering if that version of myrobotlab is supported in 64 bit version OS/machine. BTW, my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Anyway, I will try to use it in windows xp 32 bit.

Hello I am new to this group. I would like to know where I can download MyRobotLab.apk.

Thank you
