Finally got my servos tested with lots of help and suggestions. One thing to note as KMC suggested in the shout box. 

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOUR POWERSUPPLY AND YOUR ARDUINO GROUNDS ARE TIED TOGETHER.

Thanks everyone for the help. Time for Rob to get his craniotomy performed.

I'm really glad you got it working!! So powering with the 5v from the Arduino was the troubleshooting.

if  you look at the Arduino sketchs I have sent  you will notice that Grounding the power supply to the Arduino is indicated. 

:)

So now let see what is next!
