I have thought many times in the past, that most of the walking bots are way too stiff.. Besides boston dynamics I saw a cockroach video where metal leaf springs were incorporated - what a big difference in gate !

But this video is tremendous, besides that its amusing and well edited - its packed with thorough analysis and clever implementation.  KUDOS !

Think of the wear and tear it will save on motors & gearing too !  The conservation of energy and therefore longer battery life.  Sooo many benefits.
