I didn't think the Open Source Guru Drivers created a working version for the Kinect V2, but wow .. they DID !

And installing was a breeze .. followed the GitLab instructions and baddabing baddaboom .. worky !

Lots has changed with the Kinect V2 - it uses TOF (time of flight) electronics vs structured light depth ranging (older V1 models) ..  Camera has wider lense, faster frame rate, higher resolution for depth, less shearing.  Lots of fun ...

You need usb 3.0 and if you Linux Ubuntu 14.04 & a Kinect V2 your in business ..

Now on to experimenting !
