I am building a quadcopter 450 flamewheel with a Crius all in one Pro V2 flight controller, and going to use it with GPS and related for autonomous flight and video.
i am using MegapirateNG and arducopter mission planner, and all works fine! Now i need to hook up the esc's to the board (an arduino mega 2560 converted board) and hook up the reciever and transmitter.
there comes the trouble. Allthough there is enough info, i am in doubt to how to connect the cables.
i know Ale did it already and know that Masta is a pro with quadcopters, so im asking how to hook it all up.
the flight controller, telemetry, gps and bluetooth all work perfect.
The setup is:
Crius AIOP V2, turnigy 9X transmitter mode 1 and a 8ch. 2.4ghz reciever.
Hope you can help me. Photos will follow tomorrow.
I have 4 simonK 30A esc's,
the crius aiop V2
the reciever is a turnigy 9X8Cv2 2.4GHz and a 9x transmitter,
an rctimer CN-06 GPS,
bluetooth and rctimer 433MHz telemtry kit
i calibrated the esc's with the transmitter throttle, but am not sure how the board is hooked up to the reciever
wiring
I want more GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This should be the correct wiring for your parts:
GPS module and Crius board:
Ground to Ground
RX to TX2
TX to RX2
VCC to +5v
Telemetry module to Crius bord:
Ground to Ground
RXD to TX3
TXD to RX3
VCC to +5v
## As GPS and telemetry are using the same serial port I suggest a Y-harness or some soldering.
Crius board pins:
2 to ESC 1
3 to ESC 2
4 to ESC 3
5 to ESC 4
8 Throttle to Turnigy RX Channel 3
9 Aileron to Turnigy RX Channel 1
10 Elevator to Turnigy RX Channel 2
11 Rudder to Turnigy RX Channel 4
12 Aux 1 ## The Aux channels you can use for GPS/Failsafe functions
13 Aux 2 ## and telemetry.
14 Aux 3 ## Need to check on that, but it´s more the settings on the radio.
15 Aux 4
Pin before 8 "+" 5v to Turnigy RX
Pin before that "-" Ground to Turnigy RX
I hope this helps. Please ask if you have questions. Safe flight!
Hi Jens, Thanks for taking
Hi Jens,
Thanks for taking the time!
I have a Y connector for the GPS and Telemetry. That works!
Bluetooth is also working!!!
And i will try the cables as you said, but i have the 3 way switch and not sure if in your diagram that it is connected.
But i will try and hook all up, test it without props and go from there.
Also thinking of buying the APM flight controller, just to check it out, then the missionplanner and related stuf from arducopter all works together even better.
BTW, i power the flight controller from an Ubec. not from the ESC to keep noise away from the controller.
