Intel plans to launch a "computer on a stick" in March, 2015. The Linux version will go for $89. This could be a great component for robots, see:

Agreed - but the older I get, the more I like things to work out of the box. I'm getting tired of gear that 'kind of works'. If Intel puts out something with validated support of Linux and Windows, I'll at least test it out. Some of the prior solutions were very Android centric which was fine, but didn't meet all my needs.
