Head Banging InMoov

This is @ 90 degrees from Neck Servo - the rothead (rotation head) servo seems to be good. The Eye's heh .. do some pretty fun stuff :D

Script Library

GroG's picture

Now Everyone has their personal script library.  Just click on your user profile picture - and you'll see the new list of files you currently have on github.

In the near future, I'll be making a "new file" button which will allow MRL users the capability of posting new files with a single clicky !

OpenNI - stuff to add

GroG's picture

If I remember correctly the depth map is converted to signed ints for convienence - I don't remember their min or max values .. I don't think I used SimpleOpenNI (middle middle) software before either - so don't know if they put on any parts :P

But what I DO know is that this should be improved.

Services - Remix

GroG's picture

Some services in MyRobotLab are composites of other services.  This allows for more structure, complexity and higher functionality.  Tracking, InMoov, Plantoid are a few examples of services which contain other services.

Morse - Worky ! (but snail-like)

GroG's picture

Got "cat and mouse" tutorial to start on Morse.

Pros:

  • OpenSource
  • Pretty much written all in Python
  • Well organized and active project
  • Tight Blender integration
  • Supports other Middlewares YARP, MOOS, ROS(who?)
  • Many devices and sensors already supported
  • Large following? (I think)

Cons:

Eye Glasses for the Kinect

GroG's picture

I got a Nyko ZOOM for the Kinect in the mail today from Amazon for $6.99.  These are my results so far.
It advertises as 40% less distance the kinect should still work.  Here are 2 images :

We now can support (N) - servos

GroG's picture

Name Binding in MyRobotLab & Blender is done(ish)  Now, it is easy to support (N) number of servos.
Binding is very easy to do.  You just name the object with the rotational pivot the same as the MRL's servo name and create a single actuator with the same name with the appropriate axis of rotation.

Cool Legs

Request for Swiss Elvish Help - Bridge Building....

GroG's picture

Ahoy Gareth & Elves  !

Now that we threw a few grappling hooks across for the Blender Bridge I was wondering if you could demo / explain how a servo "joint" is made in InMoov.

I like the way Blender expects everything to be named .. this is a MRL mantra too.

I was hoping to capitalize on this in this way :

New IRobot Product

We better get busy...
Must teach InMov to get beer AND clean floors ...
One robot to do it all ! :D
